Fifteen strangers brought together by luck have become multimillionaires just days before Easter.
A single Queensland entry claimed the full $70 million Oz Lotto jackpot, but it was divided among 15 people who purchased syndicate shares at newsagents from Townsville to the Gold Coast.
The winning numbers for draw 1626 were 14, 32, 13, 29, 41, 23 and 8, with supplementary numbers 43, 4 and 40.

Had the entry belonged to one person instead of a syndicate, they would have ranked as the second-biggest individual Oz Lotto winner ever.
Some winners were yet to hear the news, while others with registered tickets were contacted tonight.
Reactions ranged from stunned disbelief to sleepy joy.
“I was asleep! My God!” a Bribie Island man told The Lott.
“This is amazing. We’ve been trying to buy our first home, and now we finally can.”
Another lucky winner was already thinking about retirement, though joking about what could have been.

“I thought you were joking!” he said.
“I can’t believe this. I even went to buy another share today but it was sold out. If I had, I’d have won double. Still, I’m happy with $4.7 million.”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she hoped winners would check their tickets quickly.
“It’s incredible that 15 Queenslanders became multimillionaires tonight,” she said.
“While we’ve contacted registered members, others may not yet know. We’re urging anyone who bought a syndicate entry in Queensland to check immediately.”

Oz Lotto said thousands of entries per minute were generated online and in stores.
“The last time a $70 million draw occurred was in January 2025, when peak sales hit at 12.06pm with 4297 tickets sold in just one minute,” Hobdell noted.
In February, officials called a woman in Western Sydney after she won $100 million in Oz Lotto thanks to her registered online ticket.
